Course Description
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation forms the basis of almost all first aid courses. It is comprised of training in performing resuscitation on an adult and infant, on suitable manikins, placed in appropriate locations.
The course includes discussion on identifying the individual in potential cardiac arrest, assessing, clearing and maintaining the airway at risk, performance of compressions and rescue breathing, and the application of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Participants will work on a 1:1 ratio of participants to adult manikin.
Course duration: approximately 2.5 hrs face to face delivery
To comply with mandatory requirements, participants will be required to perform CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor for competency to be achieved.
